We don’t know the answer either, but at least six designers from some of the world’s top automakers decided to give it a go with their own ideas. First up are the eSpira and eOra from Audi , which are controlled by thought and by the minutest adjustments to the pilot’s body.

According to reports, Audi’s range-topper will continue to be available with a W12, but it’s expected to grow from 6.1- to 6.5-liters and exceed 500 horsepower — 50 hp more than the outgoing twelve
Filed under: Technology , Videos , Audi Stanford’s autonomously drifting Audi TTS — Click above to view video after the jump If you read AutoblogGreen regularly, then you already know that Volkswagen and Stanford University have taken their relationship that began with developing autonomous vehicles to compete in the government-sponsored DARPA Grand Challenge competitions to the next level. VW has committed over $5 million to open the Volkswagen Automotive Innovation Lab on Stanford’s campus with the intent of taking their research further regardless of whether the government is offering a carrot or not. The two organizations are kicking off their new commitment to autonomous vehicles in a big way
Filed under: Spy Photos , Hatchback , Audi Audi probably won’t be taking the wraps completely off its new small car until the Geneva Motor Show next March, but spy shooters are already out there hunting down the prototypes. The clearest image we’ve seen yet shows a mini-car that appears to have changed very little from the MetroProject concept that first appeared at the last Tokyo Motor Show two years ago. The new A1 is expected to go on sale around the middle of next year in Europe although its not clear if it will ever come Stateside.
