Some of the European press are treating it like the fourth horseman of the apocalypse, but before we break out our Mayan calendars and go all 2012 on you, here are the hard numbers: Audi sold 264,100 vehicles worldwide between January and March while Mercedes sold 248,500 units over the same time period. For what it’s worth, BMW has yet to release its final first-quarter sales figures

Along with blessing us with a revised TT for 2011, the Audi Q7 gets a few choice upgrades in its home market of Germany, including a few new engines and an all-new eight-speed automatic transmission.
Audi may be bringing the RS5 to the US in the nearer future, Volvo’s S60 Racer is awesome, Autoblog.com catches the MINI Coupe and Roadster patent filing photos, and we see what the production cars will look like.
Filed under: Motorsports , Audi , Diesel , Racing 2010 Audi R15+ – Click above for high-res image gallery Audi has just dropped a bunch of photos of the new livery that its R15+ TDI race cars will wear for 2010 beginning with their competition debut this weekend in France. The heavily revised R15+ features a completely new aerodynamic treatment up front and along the sides, a change which Audi hopes will allow the car to have both better grip and lower drag than than last year’s model . In fact, it looks like almost nothing but the cockpit area has been carried over, with the racer’s side-pods and even the rear wing being heavily re-worked.
It’s been a little while since anything with an RS badge came our way from Ingolstadt, but it if you believe the whispers floating around the Web these days, there may be hope for a U.S.-spec Audi RS5 just yet.
