Audi will show its second concept version of the A1 at the 2008 Paris Motor Show next month. According to Automotive News, the concept will be a further development of the Metroproject Quattro concept we saw at the Tokyo Motor Show last year but will have 4-doors.
No idea what’s going to be under the hood but the Metroproject Quattro carried a 1.4L TFSI engine producing a total of 150-hp which was mated to a S-tronic transmission. It also carried an electric motor allowing for 41 horsepower and a fuel-economy of 48 mpg.
The Audi A1 will go into production in 2009. It is expected to spawn a convertible and an off-roader variant as well. Just recently, Audi’s CEO Rupert Stadler said that Audi has no plans to launch the compact A1 in North America.
