At the beginning of April, the new Audi Q7 was in Namibia for the “Last Approval Drive”. On the final approval drive, Prof. Dr. Hackenberg and his chief development engineers from Technical Development performed the last fine-tuning of the Audi Q7. Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Board Member for Technical Development at AUDI AG: “The new Q7 also marks the debut of the second-generation modular longitudinal platform, the Audi technology matrix for models with longitudinally mounted engines.
Efficient development and manufacturing provide Audi with the flexibility to offer new technologies and drive variants. The new Audi Q7 is a statement of our competence. With up to 325 kilograms (716.5 lb) less weight, it sets the benchmark among the competition. It is up to 28 percent more fuel efficient and is equipped with the latest assistance systems, infotainment modules and connect features.”
