The AEZ Genua bears the German name of Christopher Columbus’s birthplace. This alloy wheel is a real find for Audi drivers in particular, given its customised design and technology. Wind power, already having blown ships across the sea in 1492, is currently seeing a renaissance as an ecologically sound source of energy and inspired the AEZ designers to come up with a wheel centre in form of a wind wheel. This fits the “Vorsprung durch Technik“ Audi slogan (advantage through technology) and the brand’s spirit of sustainability. The Genua fits the Audi A1, A3, A4, A5 and Q3 models.
Another promising source of energy is the sun, paid homage to this wheel by its elaborate high-gloss lightsteps. Designers talk of a “triple lightstep feature“: Every double strut is a continuous band running at various heights into the rim flange, where it makes two sharp turns and not far from the bolts takes a dive. This reveals pure dynamic. Another feature is the concave centre cap, which reinforces the slightly dished surface. Very distinctive is the specially cast AEZ logo in the rim flange.
In terms of style, the AEZ Genua fits the Audi design perfectly, in every possible sense of the word “fit”. The fixed-bored and Audi-customised bolt circle allows Plug & Play and thus the use of original bolts. For customers this means: no red tape thanks to the official approval of operation of the Genua.
