Audi is going to offer a super-efficient A3 Ultra powered by a 1.4 liter TFSI, which will join the range. The manufacturer is also planning to announce A3 1.6 TDI Ultra as a sedan version.

The 1.4 liter TFSI Ultra engine will have 150HP (110 kW) and will offer high performance with superb fuel economy. 0-100 km/h in 8.1 seconds and a top speed of 220 km/h (137 mph). The fuel consumption stands at 4.7 liters / 100 km (50.0 mpg UK) on combined cycle with 109 g/km of CO2.

1.4 liter TFSI can be mated to either a manual 6-speed transmission or a 7-speed S-tronic. The power unit with cylinder is also available in all four body versions of the A3 car line: the three door model, five door Sportback, Sedan and as a Cabriolet.

A3 ultra version can be also equipped with the 1.6 TDI engine – 110HP (81 kW) and fuel consumption of just 3.3 liters of diesel fuel per 100 kilometers (71.3 mpg UK) and 88 g/km CO2. Read the rest of this entry »

Audi has published several images of the astonishing RS5 TDI Concept. It will be exhibited at the 2014 AMI Leipzig, when the German manufacturer will celebrate the 25^th anniversary of the TDI engine with this special model.

The Concept is based on the RS5 Coupe and comes with a 3.0 liter twin-turbo V6 TDI equipped with an electrically driven supercharger, which will eliminate the turbo lag. The power is 385HP (283 kW) and 750Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. It is send to a Quattro all-wheel drive system through an 8-speed automatic gearbox. 0-100 km/h in 4.0 seconds and a top speed of over 280 km/h (174 mph). 2014 Audi A3 Clubposrt Quattro Concept is powered by a 2.5 liter five-cylinder TFSI engine with epic 525HP (386 kW) and 600Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque. Compared to the “tiny” 2.0 liter TFSI and its 300HP (221 kW) and 420Nm (310 lb-ft), the new power unit is sensational. The performance is more than scary – 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 310 km/h (193 mph). The curb weight of the car is just 1,527 kg (3,366 lbs), so it has a power-to-weight ratio of 343HP / ton. The power is put on the road through Quattro AWD (all-wheel drive) system and a 7-speed S-tronic gearbox featuring launch control.

Other highlights include an improved suspension and lowered ride height by 10mm. There is also a set of enormous 9.5J x 21” alloy wheels fitted with 275/25 R21. TheophilusChin has published two render images of the upcoming Audi RS3 Cabriolet. As a base, the clubsport quattro concept is used. The upcoming Audi RS3 is expected to be revealed later this year, probably during the Paris Motor Show in October.

Nothing is known about the engine and the performance of RS3, but it probably come with the same 2.5 liter five-cylinder TFSI engine used in A3 Clubposrt Quattro Concept, but with slightly decreased power output.

Audi S3 Saloon powered by Abt Sportsline is simply impressive. The sports car comes with tuned engine and nice stance.

The 2.0 liter TFSI is boosted to 370HP (272 kW) and 460Nm (341 lb-ft) of torque – an increase of 70HP and 80Nm. The top speed is 265 km/h (165 mph) and 0-100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. The result is thanks to a new sports exhaust system and an ECU re-map.

Other highlights include 20” DR alloy wheels fitted with performance tires. There are also 18” or 19” versions and the ER-C and CR wheels are also available. ABT fitted the sports saloon with new fender inserts made from high-quality ABS plastic. SR Performance has unveiled their latest project based on Audi S3 Sedan. The performance car comes with KW coilover kit. There is also an adjustable suspension strut bearing on the front axle.

The wheel/tire set consists of 8.5J x 20” forged wheels in 10-spoke V-design. They are fitted with Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tires - 225/30 R20.

Other exterior modifications include wrapping of the roof which now shines in glittering black. The effect of the foiling is that the the hard “edge” was eliminated.

The 2.0 liter TFSI four-cylinder engine has get an MTM M-Cantronic performance boost and a BN pipes-downpipe and a 200-cell HJS catalyzer. The pipe of the exhaust system measures 85/76 millimeter in diameter. Read the rest of this entry »

Our favourite manufacturer has finally revealed the facelift version of Audi A7. The 2014 model comes with a number of upgrades including new headlights, improved interior and decent price. The new model is scheduled to hit the market in the end of this summer with pricing starting from €51,300 for the A7 and €82,300 for the S7.

The exterior boasts a single-frame front grille, revised front bumper flanked by Matrix LED headlights (available as an option). The dynamic turn signal lights are now standard on the new taillights. At the rear, there is new bumper and updated exhaust pipe ends.

The interior comes with a lot of high-quality materials like aluminum and Beaufort walnut inlay and Valcona fine-leather. The color range is now revised an features 5 hues for the seats and door panels.

The engine range includes the new V6 3.0 TDI Clean Diesel with 272HP (200 kW) or 218HP (160 kW), which is able to return 50.0 mpg US (60 mpg UK or just 4.7 liters / 100 km) on combined cycle with CO2 emissions of 122 g/km. The 3.0 Bi-TDI has 320HP (235 kW) and is connected to an 8-speed tiptronic gearbox while the rest of the engines will get a 7-speed S-tronic. Paul Wallace has published a video showing how you can use Audi R8 for an everyday car. He managed to buy an used R8 by shooting supercars in London. This guy is really funny and shows what is like to go shopping in the mall with the German supercar.
