The increasing success of Motorsports betting

Ever since the invention of the car man has loved to race them, this is not unusual as we have always raced with others for example simple running races. But the difference with cars is the sheer speed that you can get to while going full speed, many see this as dangerous and while there are dangers the top racers are so well trained that they more than have the skills to cope with it. But not everyone can have these skills as well as the money in order to race professionally, for these people though there is now a great deal of motorsport broadcasted live on TV these days. If this is not enough for you though you may want to place a bet on the sport of your choice as this will mean that the race will mean more to you, also when you win you will feel like you won the race also. Software Designers Are Challenged by Ford

Are you a software developer, or designer of mobile applications? Do you want to have the opportunity to create industry changing software for a large brand like Ford? Well now you have the chance to do just this. Ford Motor Company at the latest auto show has put forth a remarkable challenge asking all software designers out there to put their creativity and technicality to use by producing a personal fuel-economy application.

Just around the same time as the New York Auto Show, Ford Motor Company took it upon themselves to bring up this challenge and present it. It seems a bit odd to ask for such a product, especially with how well the EcoBoost and Hybrid models have done in the last couple of years. But much like Ford’s new slogan “Go Further” they are looking to find a user-friendly way to help drivers extend their fuel range. Providing them with a personal app could help add 1-2 mpg for each driver once they are able to identity bad driving habits and make the necessary changes.  Improving 1-2mpg, could save drivers hundreds or even thousands on annual basis. The Cost of a Used McLaren F1

Remember the golden age of eBay ad selling miscellaneous collectibles like Beanie Babies online to the highest bidder. Now there are newer trends with much larger items being sold regularly online via eBay, such as cars. While most cases we see used cars that amount to nothing in terms of price, maybe a few thousand dollars here or there. We never imagined we would find a McLaren F1 online for purchase.

Brand New back in the 90s the F1 ran for about $4 million USD, even though this one used has only a few hundred miles, the price tag is likely to bring the same price tag, if not even more considered its rarity. But how about we put aside price tags, and just take into consideration this McLaren F1 apparently hasn’t even been driven at all from its current owner. Like how does the King of Supercars, just sit in a garage all day every day for almost two decades? When do you cross the line of an investment, or a pleasure? For many it would be nearly impossible to avoid the temptation to hop into this supercar, and just burn! Somehow this owner was able to avoid that temptation for a long time, and because of that he is likely to get a huge return on investment by major player in the car enthusiast world. BMW Announces First Inline Three-Cylinder

The automotive industry is continuously looking for new ways to improve overall fuel-economy, going as far as reducing cylinders from 6 to 4, or reducing the material to lighter weight materials, improving aerodynamics. Or just creating electric components. Now BMW has gone ahead and stepped up their game once again with the planned introduction of their three-cylinder engine block.

The German automakers plan to create this three-cylinder an inline, and are essentially just half of their six-cylinder. It will be a turbocharged 1.5-liter unit, direct fuel injection and designed for optimal fuel-economy results. The only real problem that BMW needed to overcome when they were electing to drop a whole cylinder down to just three, was would it produce enough power so the driver wasn’t feeling the drag? Audi’s performance continued to fly in the face of global recession last year with figures released recently showing the German car giant once again grew sales across the globe in 2012, achieving increased total sales in all markets.

Should you ever lend your car to someone?

Driving a car without insurance is a serious offence, and if caught the probability of losing your driving licence is high. But did you know you could lose it even if you were not driving your car? If you let someone borrow your car, and that person, turns out to be uninsured then you will face charges for allowing a car without insurance to be on the road. And in most cases, you would be guilty of the offence, and as a result, your driving licence could be suspended or terminated altogether.

You may have thought the driver to be trustworthy when he informed you that there was insurance in place. But even telling the magistrate this while swearing with everything that is holy to you, would make no difference. And even though you are shown some little leniency, you could still find yourself convicted of a criminal offence. But it may be true the driver thought he was insured. Most people believe that if they have a fully insured coverage for another car, any car they drive will also be insured. Read the rest of this entry »

Determining The Value Of Buying Used Trailers

There are many reasons why people choose to buy used items every single day, but the primary reason is one of cost effectiveness. Not only does buying an item new cost more but it also means that you will face greater depreciation in value. As soon as you tow a new trailer away from the showroom it will have lost value and you will never be able to recoup this loss. Buying second hand avoids this potential problem.

There are many types and styles of trailer available. Enclosed trailers can offer protection and greater security compared to open sided trailers. However, you can find some of the smallest, most convenient and least expensive trailers in this open sided range. You don’t have to pay a large sum for a convenient trailer and if you’re considering buying second hand trailers then it means that you can save even more money. Read the rest of this entry »
