The new Audi TT sets an impressive new benchmark in the compact sports car segment: With a total weight of around 1230 kg (2711.7 lb) the TT 2.0 TFSI is once again 50 kg (110.2 lb) lighter than its predecessor. In order to achieve this goal, our lightweight construction engineers have used a hybrid-design Audi Space Frame (ASF). The front end and underbody of the vehicle comprise high-strength and ultra-high-strength steel components; the structure and the add-on parts are made from aluminum. This saves weight und lowers the center of gravity – the best starting point for a dynamic driving experience in the all-new TT.
